10) GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL) has crossed another green milestone with the commissioning of its second phase 5 MW solar power plant, taking the total solar power capacity to 10 MW. In 2015, the first solar power plant of 5 MW capacity was commissioned.

11) The Cochin International Airport Limited rolled out ‘Operation Pravaah’, a multifaceted infrastructure programme scoping to integrate flood mitigation projects already initiated by CIAL with District Administration and various local self governments. 

➨Phase 1 of Operation Pravaah will be completed in the last week of July, while the second phase incorporates major construction activities including the construction of a regulator-cum-bridge (RCB) on the mouth of the Chengal Canal for Rs 20.40 crores.

12) Indian Navy has received its 10th anti-submarine warfare and maritime patrol aircraft P-8I Poseidon from the US-based aerospace company Boeing. The aircraft is used for maritime reconnaissance and anti-submarine warfare.
